You guys...grab the tissues, Trent is going to take you on an emotional journey to Christmas' Past. He celebrates the season like he's descended from the big jolly man himself.
Christmas is always one of my favorite times of the year. I don't want to ruin my construction site street cred - but I love seeing the Christmas decorations going up in our neighborhoods and the music starting to play. It's always a nostalgic time of year when I think about past Christmas seasons.
Some traditions have stuck through the years and some have faded over time, but the one constant for me is family. No matter where we are or what we are doing in our lives, I've always spent Christmas time with my family. Some of our traditions include; New ornaments commemorating every year. The one's that have lasted since our early years are particularly precious and evoke a lot of happy Christmas memories when they go up on the tree.
For the past few years one of my favorite memories has been picking up a tree from Grandma's house. My Grandmother has been growing Frasier Fir pines for years at the "home place" in southwest Virginia. She'd have people come from two states away to buy trees and it was always a source of pride when she would have people come year after year to buy their trees from her. We always got the "family discount" but it was fun picking out and cutting our trees from fields I grew up playing in. Grandma will be 90 this January and the tree farm was a lot for her to keep up with (she's not as handy with a chainsaw as she was at 88) but we will have lots of good memories from picking our trees there.
On Christmas Eve now, my wife, kids, and I get together with our family members that live locally and make snacks, play games, watch movies and just generally spend time together. We've started a new tradition of everyone wearing pajamas for our get together- the more Christmasy and Cheesy, the better. The kids love it and the adults look ridiculous, but that is part of the fun. This year is "the year of the onsie" so we are all trying to find the most crazy onesie we can find just to kick the ridiculous levels up a notch. It's fun, relaxing, and best of all, it creates memories with family that will last a lifetime. For whatever reason, Christmas memories seem to stick for me, so it's always been important for me to make those memories with family and people that I love.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
p.s. It's ok if you bawled your eyes out reading this. You're not alone. Also, I'm gonna ask Santa for a chainsaw so I can be as cool as Trent's grandma.
As a buyer's agent, this is by far the EASIEST builder to work with. Their contracts are short and to the point as well as easy for my buyers to read. I am all about efficiency and customer service, Garman provides both! Krista Brown, has been a knowledgeable sales agent and an asset to that team. There are so many incompetent on-site agents, when you run into one that knows what they are doing, they stand out. Looking forward to closing this deal!
